My ISP dialup connection disappeared for no explained
reason. I am running Windows XP with SP1. When I when to
create a new connection I received the Error 711: Cannot
Load Remote Access Service Connection Manager. Using MSKB
article 330163 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;330163) I worked through the resolution only
to find the following...

Right-click Telephony, and then click Properties. On the
General tab, click Manual next to Start-up type. On the
General tab, click Start under Service status, and then
click OK. Telephony service started fine.

Repeating steps 3 - 5 for Remote Access Connection Manager
I got the following message. "Could not start Remote
Access Auto Connection Manager Service on Local computer.
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to
start."

Repeating steps 3 - 5 for Remote Access Auto Connection
Manager I got the following message. "Could not start the
Remote Access Connection Manager Service on local
computer. Error 5: Access is denied."

Please help as I am desperate to restore my home internet
connection.

Thanks,

Mark.
