Hey mate.

Ok, what i do is i download movies and music from Kazaa
and that all goes fine exept i try to put the .AVI movies
onto video format in Nero but it wont accept .AVI movies.
It accepts .MPEG but not .AVI.

Iam currently running Nero Version: 5.0.4.9 bundled and i
got my friend to burn me a newer copy of Nero to see if i
cant do it cause its an older version but when i remove
this old nero and install the new nero it installs
perfectly exept when i double click on it it doesnt have
my Burner there to run nero and burn things so i still
have to use my old Nero which doesnt burn .AVI's still.

If you could please help me i would really be greatfull.

Thanks for your time.

What you need to do is convert the movies from the AVI extension to MPEG.
Depending on your situation, MPEG-2 is more suitable. It depends if you're
creating an MPEG-1 VCD or MPEG-2 SVCD. MPEG-2 PAL has a great resolution of
720x576 whilst MPEG-1 trails behind with a measly 320x288.

Nero can convert the movies for you. If you have the MPEG-2 SVCD plugin
(e-mail me), you will be able to select unregonized MPEG-2 files such as AVI
for instance and will convert the files temporarily to the HDD and will
afterwards write to the SVCD.

If you're using VCD format, it should work fine. Simply locate the file
under "All Files *.*" and it ought to convert. Like it says "Video CD: Nero
needs either Video CD compatible MPEG video files (*.mpg) or AVI files to
create the CD".

If that doesn't work, then download TMPEGEnc.

See ya :)

this sounds like a question to ask ahead's tech support:
http://www.nero.com/en/index.html#c1002822790847.

and, just fyi, kazaa is one of the worst, most dangerous programs you can
have installed on your machine. it opens up tcp/udp ports, installs spyware
and dramatically increases the chances of a virus infecting your machine, as
several manufacturers of software, music, etc will intentionally post
infected/corrupted versions of their software/music that can/will crash your
machine. software firewalls do not help because you are the one opening the
door (ports) and allowing the software to run as intended. even if you are
running antivirus software you are not safe as most all av software is only
97% effective in filtering out viruses that are known, not to mention the
unknown ones. also, most of these file sharing programs are dependant on
their spyware, so, if you run spyware removal software such as pest patrol,
ad-aware, etc, and it removes said spyware, the file sharing app will no
longer work. kazaa lite does not have spyware, but it still makes your
machine vulnerable to the other issues.

i strongly recommend against using any p2p file sharing software at all
unless you know how to and are prepared to recover your system from a
catastrophic failure and you dont mind opening the door for hackers and
enabling your personal information/identification to be stolen more easily.

Only if you install Kazaa as a stand-alone program.

If you use the prog. DietKaza (no relation to Kazaa) which will open & run,
e.g., the full-blown Kazaa Media Desktop, you have absolutely no problems,
as DietKaza blocks all nasties. With KMD, you can also uncheck the upload
facility.
And to keep sticky little fingers from doing the wrong thing and opening
Kazaa directly, delete all shortcuts to Kazaa.
