hi,
Some web sites i visit open up a box saying i need the
java virtual machine. I click on the 'download and
install' button which opens up a new box with a download
bar which fills up instantly and says 'download time <1min'
Then nothing happens. i can't view the webpage properly
and don't know what to do. Windows xp was on my pc when i
bought it from a friend and i can't get support from
microsoft because they say the ID number has already been
used.

Microsoft is removing Microsoft Virtual Machine from its websites and
stopping distribution because of a court order:
