Hi
My home network has 2 PCs/1 laptop via Ethernet, all
under Windows XP Professional SP1 through a Linksys
Wireless-G Broadbandrouter which also serves as DHCP-
server. PCs are installed with the XP network assistant
as computers without direct internet access using a
gateway (= above router). Norton firewall is deinstalled,
Windows firewall is deactivated. Internet access on all
PCs okay. Windows network diagnosis shows no problems.
All pings okay, all free directories of all PCs are
properly shown in the explorer.
However, if any free file of another computer is
accessed, the program immediately blocks. If the Ethernet
cables of exactly the same installation are plugged
through a hub instead of the WRT54G, the whole
installation works again properly.
What could be wrong?
