Internet problems DHCP

im getting a problem getting on to the internet. im woth
NTL broadband and the message i keep getting is:

"DHCP release/renew failed

Server down/miniport Scheduled Packet

Try again"

the server is not down so i dont no wot 2 do.

Could you please help me.
