I'm at a loss with this problem.....Here it is
I have a two computer network hooked up with a Linksys BEFSR-41 router
and DSL.
My main computer, which has WinXP Home is hooked up to the router and
works just fine, but the laptop which has WinXP Pro is not connecting
to the internet nor am I able to file share with the main (desktop)
computer. Everything else seems to be fine though.
I've checked all of the obvious things like the cable, etc. I even
created a PPPoe Connection and bypassed the router all together and
still no connection to the internet.
I even reset the TCP/ip stack and had no luck.
Here's the weird thing in this whole equation.....I tried to do a
system restore and Windows hasn't created a restore point for the
whole month of June and it won't allow me to go back any previous
months. This is too weird.
Any suggestions?????
