I'm having some problems with dialup networking of windows XP.
I never saw these odd behavior on previous versions of windows.
Today, I left the computer to run only UD agent(cancer research). When I got
back about 3 hours later, I tried to connect internet. The icon didn't show
up at system tray after the Terminal Window. It connected to internet but
the icon didn't show up. I tried numerous times, didnt work each time.
Another thing is when I mislogin and ISP rejects the connection then click
Done button instead of Cancel on the Terminal Window, a little window (the
progress window) stays and says "Opening port...". If I click cancel, the
connection screen(where you click DIAL and shows the number to dial) never
comes up again until I logon again to windows. You just click the connection
shortcut in the "Connect to" menu and the window doesn't appear. A different
connection shortcut works thou but not the one you used.
I recently installed sp1a and wasn't sure of that happens on sp1a. Ive tried
and it happened. I'm really curious about this ridicilous situation.
