I have a simple home network of 3 computers linked through
a hub. I am able to use file and print sharing amongst the
computer with no problem.
At issue is that I can not browse the internet from the
client computers when the host is connected via dial-up.
Network Connections on each of the clients shows connected
in the middle Internet Gateway section.
When I right click on the icon for the Internet Gateway and
click on Status it says packets sent and packets received:
Not Available.
I can ping each of the computers and get a response. I can
not ping any internet address either using the name or the
IP address.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Disable and then re-enable Internet Connection Sharing on the host
computer, then disable and re-enable the LAN connection on each of the
clients and try Internet access again.
If there's still a problem, run these tests to help find it:
1. On the ICS host computer, right click the local area network
connection and click Status | Support | Details. It should show:
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: none
DNS Server = none
2. On an ICS client computer, right click the local area network
connection and click Status | Support | Details. It should show:
IP Address: 192.168.0.x (1<x<255)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS Server = 192.168.0.1
3. If #1 and #2 are right, open a command prompt window on a client
and enter these lines. Each one should get four replies:
ping 192.168.0.1
ping 216.239.39.100
ping www.google.com
