View Full Version : TCP/IP Corruption

I'm having a very similar problem! I installed a 1394 card
which worked just fine, but now I can't get the TCP/IP
stack to work on my network. Microsoft networking works -
I can print to a printer on the system and mount its
disks, but I can't get to the internet.

ipconfig /renew fails with one of several errors: "The
requested service provider could not be loaded or
initialized", or something like "attempt to performan an
operation on a non-socket device".

I removed the 1394 card, but the problem persists.

I can't reinstall the system - I only have a disk image CD
from my vendor, and I don't want to wipe out the whole
disk (more then 30GB in use!).
