Address bar

Sounds completely silly but opened home page yesterday
and the address bar has vanished! Tried everything to get
it back but cannot seem to work it out. How can I get the
address bar back?

Menu "VIEW" - "TOOLBARS" - "ADDRESS BAR"
The latter should be ticked?
