Hi folks!
Environment:
W2K Domain
DHCP enabled
WXP Pro Machines
W2K Machines
I'm experiencing a nasty issue:
When I add a Windows XP Pro machine to our W2K domain, then the machine is
added correctly to the domain (Verified in "Active Directory Users and
Computers") but no entry in the DNS is created for this machine.
I have to create it by hand.
But this has the drawback that if the box is witched off for a long time
then DHCP reassigns a new IP that does not match with the manual entry.
I already checked all possible network settings on the machine, the
DNS-server and the DHCP-server.
But all what I have got now is a big headache and no idea what could be the
reason...
Anybody got an idea?
