I have 2 laptop computers both running XP, and for some
reason I cant get either of these computers to remember a
password when logging on to the internet. It appears
that there is already an incorrect password saved in the
system, and I cant seem to change it. If I uncheck the
save password box, enter my new password, and check the
save password box then I still get the same old hidden
password. I hope that this makes sense and that someone
can help me as I really would like to be able to log on
automatically but until I can save the password this is
going to be impossible.

Is this a common problem with XP??

Are you sure that you are getting the old password? XP will always show a
stored password as 14 dots, no matter what the stored password is.
