I want to add a network place in XP Home of my web site. Whenever I type the
address in I get the error 'The folder you entered does not appear to be
valid'.

I want to add a network place so that I can save new web pages straight to
my web space in FP2002. At present I just get 'The operation cannot be
completed because an unexpected error has occurred' - Very useful!

Any thoughts

Andrew

Are you entering the FTP site address? For example my FTP site for saving
webpages is

ftp://home.bellsouth.net

You can also put in your user name and password so that the folder opens
right up like this:

I was having the same problem with Frontpage 2000, and have spent the last
two hours scouring for a solution, and have ended up trying to fix network
connections as well.

I used to have a webshare (using http://) because the online site has
frontpage extensions and everything installed.

The problem that I am running into is that when I goto "My Network Places"
and then go through the "Add network Place Wizard", when I type in the
address as an http, it says: "The folder you entered does not appear to be
vaild. Please choose another."

FTPs do work but HTTPs do not. I've tried two seperate HTTPs. How do I fix
this so that Frontpage will work?

Thanks.
