".NET Messenger Service Staff says:
You are running a version of messenger that requires an immediate security
update. Please visit http://messenger.msn.com/Help/Upgrades.aspx to complete
the update."
I have 4.7 but when I go to MSN automatic updates, the only thing that shows
for updating after I scan is the 4.7. Also, this security message pops up on
my wife's side of the computer (the second user) when she signs in to MSN
Messener 4.7 and it never pops up on my side when I sign into MSN Messenger.
All this makes me wonder.

Josh.
I just went there, and in the small print under the MSN for windows, they
all say if your 5.0 or before click here.
It is hard to see unless you look real close.
I hope this helps.

Distinguish two separate - but very similar - products.
Windows Messenger for Windows XP - at version 4,7 ; version 5.0 imminent
MSN Messenger (needed for other versions of Windows) has just gone to
version 6.0 and has extra bells, whistles and eye-candy in the same way
that MSN Explorer does.
