View Full Version : Slow browser after downloading shareware and playing video

I downloaded shareware for kazaa.com and downloaded a
video file.

The file would not open automatically and prompted me in
a menu stating, "which program would you like to use to
open this file?"

I selected Windows Media Player. However, the box that
can be checked to always have Windows Media Player play
the video was not accessible. It was checked, but blocked
so that I could not select or change it.

Since that time, my IE browser is much slower then usual
when I surf the web.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem?

Thanks,

Allen

You can uninstall Kazaa and run AdAware to get rid of the spyware that it
loads. That should speed your computer back up a bit. Also, make sure that
your hard drive is defragmented on occasion.

I would also suggest a full virus scan - just in case.
