Since I installed XP, I've had a problem with my upper
left side of the picture going off my screen by a small
about. I can adjust the H-POS on the monitor to fix
this, but as soon as the monitor powers off the problem
resumes when I use the computer again. Obviously setting
the H-POS every time I want to use the computer is very
annoying. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What kind of video card do you have?
You should be able to right click the desktop>properties>settings>advanced
Button and this should open the display properties for your video card, it
does for sure if you have an ATI card. Once open go to "Displays" tab find
your monitor click, again with ATI you click where it says monitor and it
opens a new window that is "monitor properties" with 3 tabs - Attributes,
Adjustments, and Advanced. The adjustment tab allows you to move the screen
right left or up down without using your horizontal controls on the monitor
itself.

All those instructions work up to the last part -- when I
click on properties in monitor it doesn't give me the
three tabs and my only options are about the driver.
But, even if it did work my biggest concern is in not
having to change the settings every time my monitor
powers off -- not in finding an easier way to change them.

My video card is listed as NVIDIA GeoForce DDR.

Thanks again.

I am unfamiliar with the NVIDIA video cards, sorry.

If you change the setting there you wouldn't have to change it everytime you
turn your monitor on, those settings are like software settings and will be
written into your video card driver .ini files.
