View Full Version : No "My Computer" in Explorer or Outlook Express

I just purchased an HP Media Center 864n computer that
had "XP Media Center Edition" loaded on it. I can not get
to "My Computer" in either Windows Explorer or Outlook
Express. When I right click on the desktop and
select "properties" and the "desktop" tab both the My
Computer and My Documents check boxes are grayed out.
How can I get to my root (C) drive? Thanks...

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\NonEnum
Look in the right pane for any values listed there. Either right click each
value and select Modify, then change the value to 0 (zero) or select Delete.
