Floppy Disk Drive

Hi,

I recently replaced the ide cable to the floppy drive. In
the device manager the floppy drive is listed with no
problems shown. When I insert a floppy disk and double
click on the floppy drive icon in My computer I get a
message saying 'Please insert a disk into drive A -
Floppy drive' One other point, there is light constantly
illuminated on the floppy drive.

Any suggestions or help correcting this problem would be
much appreciated.

By my understanding, floppydrive light permanently on, means the cable is
the wrong way round

Bad cable or plugged in incorrectly on the drive or mother board end.
Recheck it.
