Yes and no!

I just purchased the Panasonic DVD F65K player (just
being stocked on the shelves at Best Buy on Saturday,
4/19)because it proports to support MS's new HighMAT (aka
WMV)format. I say proports because I have not been able
to get it to work yet! It does play WMA files(MS audio),
as well as JPG's. I have a call in to Panasonic and they
were going to try it on their lab machines, but I have
had no response from them for the last 2 days. BTW: the
reason I bought this player is that it is supposed to
play HighMAT files from CD's, not just DVD's. Much
cheaper!

Jim,
If the Panasonic DVD F65K player does play WMV 9 series movies, I am
running to the nearest Best buy asap. Can you post an update when the
ppl at Panasonic do get back to you?
The specs on the Panasonic website specify compatibility with WMA only
and not WMV.

Thanks

Aravind
