My IE6 is corrupted and won't load correctly. I went to
the Microsoft website to download the SP1 that has a
complete version of IE6 and when I agree to the EULA and
try to continue, I get a message that says "Setup cannot
download files to the folder 'C://Windows/Windows Update
Setup Files' because the folder is read-only. Either
change the permissions for this folder, or specify a
different folder." I right-clicked the folder and it
only has Read Only, Hidden or Archive as my choices.
Where do I find the location to change the permissions
for this folder?

Hi,

No need to download or use the update site. Click start/run and copy/paste
in this command:

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%windir%\Inf\ie.inf
