Hi,

I have installed a second new hard drive which is set as
slave. I need to format the drive. In the computer
mamagement window I can see the drive shown. It does not
have a letter assigned to it.It also says it is not
initialised and the space is unallocated. If I right
click on the drive I am not given an option to format the
drive. How do I go about formatting the new drive. Any
help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Start/run diskmgmt.msc

Right-click the drive, you need to create a partition before you can format
it.
