Can't access DVD Rom Features

Hello,
I have Win XP Home with Win Media Player 9. I got a
cd from MS called "Do Amazing things with Windows XP, Yes
You Can" It says it has special software on it. I put
it in my DVD Rom player on my PC and I couldn't access
the special software. I tryed using WIn Media and Power
DVD 4 XP but no luck. I couldn't view the DVD files from
My Computer.
