256 colors

my dvd requires 256 colors to play movies.i monitor setup
as neomagic 256v driver, but display only shows 16 0r 24
bit , no 256 colors. how can i get it changed to make 256
colors in the settings selection???

You need to download and install updated drivers for your graphics card.
Since you don't give us the exact model of the Neomagic graphics card, or
the make/model of the PC, I can't tell you where you might find these, but
try your PC manufacturer's website first.
