Hi - I am ordering a new computer which will come with XP Pro. I have some
proprietary programs that will run/perform
better on Win98. Can I install Win 98 on the XP machine and use either/or
both OSs?
TIA

check here http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_repair_9x.htm However you
should have a repartitioning tool like Partition Magic. BootIt NG may be
better, is less expensive and does more http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/
than PM. You should also ensure that there are Windows 98 drivers for the
hardware in your new system. Windows 98 is several years old and will not
have drivers included for some hardware.
