I have had a real nightmare with recording (back to the
tape from the pc) an edited movie I captured from a Sony
Digital/Hi8 camcorder. I have all goodies, firewire,
Pentium 4 (1.8MHz), 512 meg of RAM, and brand new tape in
the camcorder/VCR. It seems that the video feed will
break up and record gaps. I can see the whole thing on
cameras LCD panel. He plugs are all nice and tight. I
have secured the connection to be good. I can capture
perfectly, but I can't record. I can see that as the
connection is good, it will say 16 bit under the DV IN.
But than the gap start and the 16 bit disapears.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What else do you have running? Disable anything you don't need for a
while... antivirus, screensavers, seti at home..... etc etc While it's
exporting back to the PC, don't do anything else that takes up the PC's
time.
