I need some advice and help.
Task Manager does not appear with ctrl-Alt-Del or when I
try to open it from my hard disk. Also I cannot get
msconfig to open from the start-run sequence. Thanks for
any help or assistance on this problem which has plagued
me for the past week or so, ever since the virus outbreak.
My system appears to be clean at this time (McAfee is up-
to-date), although I probably was infected at some point
with SOBIG.

Do u see it for a sec then it disappears? If so...
w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:
Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.
