In Windows XP I was trying to fix some issues I was
having by going into safe mode. I went in to msconfig
and chose /SAFEBOOT.

When I restarted the computer, nothing happend AT ALL!!
The BIOS stuff did not even come up! So now, I cannot do
anything and I have no idea how to get back into my
computer.

I tried pressing all of the normal BIOS config buttons
(F2, Del, etc.) and I still get nothing. The video will
not even come up. It looks like my monitor is in standby
mode with no signal going to it.

I am lost!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
Ryan

If you're not even seeing the bios, it's no longer a windows issue as you
haven't gotten to the hard drive yet, and it's unlikely safeboot had
anything to do with it. Probably what was going on was that you had some
piece of hardware that was going bad, and it decided to die on that
particular reboot.
