Dell Latitude C840

I just upgraded to windows xp from windows 2000 and my
computer can not find the display adapter. I downloaded
the nvidia driver that came with my pc but still nothing,
and worst of all when i scroll it doesn't scroll smoothly
and it's so annoying. I went to options under ie and
clicked the smooth scrolling check box and it still
doesn't work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
and if you don't mind emailing me your suggestions.
