Hi,

I have a computer with Windows 2000 installed, and I went
ahead and purchased the Full Version of Windows XP Home
Edition.

Can I install this over my existing operating system
without losing all my data stored on my PC?

Thanks for your help.

No, you must do a clean install(lose all data) or purchase Windows XP
Professional to do an upgrade install and keep your data.

If you did not open the packaging yet you might be able to return the full
version of XP Home for an Upgrade version of XP Pro for around the same
price. As you see from other posters you can not upgrade to XP Home version
over Windows 2000
