View Full Version : burning a DVD

I have a JVC DV camcorder and I used Windows Movie Maker
1.1 (it came with my computer) to save it to my computer
and edit. Everything worked out fine until I wanted to
make a DVD out of it. I was only given the option to
save to CD, which it DID do, but I can NOT view this thru
my DVD player. How do I go about burning my saved file
(or converting it) to a blank DVD?

Thanks,
Jamie

You need third party software to make a DVD. Windows and MM1 (there is a
new version of MovieMaker out now; version 2) will not support burning a
DVD. You need something like Sonic MyDVD or Ulead DVD Movie Factory and a
DVD recordable drive. You must make sure that any standalone DVD players
support the type of DVD discs (DVD -R/RW DVD +R/RW) that your recorder
supports. You must buy the proper format discs for your recorder (DVD -R
won't work in a DVD +R recorder).
