How are you connecting the camera? 1394 card or USB. XP
needs SP2 to have updated USB2 drivers. In my experience
XP recognises anything properly connected to typical 1394
cards. Appropriate drivers for such cards are usually
updated automatically via the Windows update site. Must
also switch camcorder to VCR mode for it to be recognised.
