Can I burn a CD-R that my DVD Player will read?

I was told that there is a format that MovieMaker
supports that allows you to burn CD's that will play in a
DVD Player. However, the format I was told does not
match up with the list of available formats within
Moviemaker. I have a Toshiba DVD and an XBOX.

Please help.
