Can not delete file

Trying to delete .dat file (1.7MB) in folder on desktop.
Error message: file maybe in use....and so on. File is not
in use. No other applications open at all!

Try to drag, shift del, move, nothing happens, just won't
let me delete this file.

Any help, would be nice, thanks! Please reply to newsgroup

Trust the system. That file is in use. Why are you concerned with it?

NO, the file is not in use!! I like to run a clean system
when running my system. I have had the problem before, but
just forgot the trick that I used. So, in the future, if
you don't have a solution, don't YOU be concerned with it!!

NO, the file is not in use!! I like to run a clean system
