Problems with Service Pack Update

I downloaded a service pack update and on rebooting my
computer got two error meassages:-

1.Winlogon.exe-Entry Pt Not found
The procedure entry point Associsdangerous could not be
located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.DLL

After clicking"ok" at this message I got an additional
message

2.User interface failure
The logo user interface DLLMSGINA.DLL failed to load.
Contact system admin to replace dll or restore original dll

Has anyone had the same problems with this update and if
so please advise of the fix.

It may help to replace both files (WINLOGON.EXE, MSGINA.DLL) with the
original versions that come with Windows. Run MSCONFIG.EXE and click
"Extract files" to do so.
