many thanks to mr. Ramesh, however, i could not
understand how to extract the wordpad.exe from original
win xp cd. Even I tried to search in the cd, it has not
wordpad.exe in it, and when I tried to install it, it
tells me that it needs some DLL file ..?
how?
from your message:
Extract the wordpad.exe from Windows XP CD. Then run
SFC /SCANNOW from CD.

Click Start | Run | type "SFC /Scannow"

Victor, you extract the files with the "expand" command. Do another search
of your cd for wordpad.* and you'll see the compressed files.
