MM2 shutting down

It seems to be a common problem with MM2, when I put
clips or photos into MM2 than try to put in transitions
or effects MM2 just shuts down. I have tried different
solution presented but still can't get it to work. I have
a 1.4 tbird 768 ram ati all in wonder radeon turtlebeach
santa cruz sound card. I do have Power DVD but I put in
the patches requested. Can someone help in this matter?
