How to resolve a problem with transfer (real time) of
digital video from my JVC GR-DVL9000 video camera's DV-
out port. I can't find a driver for XP-pro or correct
installation procedure?
Since installing Windows XP-pro I can't get anything but
still images from the DV-out connection.
Previously, with Windows 98SE and the
driver "dvconnect300.exe" installed, the DV-out just
worked great - latest with the Ulead VideoStudio 7.
Details:
My host controller is "Barebone BB-582DX+", TI OHCIEEE
1394, 400Mbit.
XP automatically installs the "Texas Instruments OHCI
Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller", as it happened in
Win98SE.
Next, when I connect and switch-on my video camera,
Windows XP automatically installs "JVC DV Camcorder"
under "Imaging devices".
In Win98SE and with the driver "DVconnect300" installed,
the string "1394 DV Camcorder" popped up under "Sound,
video and game controllers", and all worked just fine.
The VideoStudio7:
In Device Control, when I select "TI 1394 Device Control"
I get "Unable to open the specified device, Please check
if our device machine is ready!". Consequently I am left
with the option "MS1394 Device Control" which, however,
does not work with the JVC GR-DVL9000 video camera - if
any!
Any ideas?
