When I try to import a video file I get the following
message "C:\Documents and Settings\Robert\My Documents\My
Videos\ezs030525-015.mpg could not be imported. An
interface has too many methods to fire events from".

I have tried the system with nvidia geforce 4 mmx 440,
sis 315p and radeon 9100 video cards, Windows XP home and
Windows XP Pro, with the same results.

Any body else have this happen, or better still have a
solution.

Tom,

Sounds like you are trying to import and use MPEG2 files. See the
Importing... Video info at www.papajohn.org

I have a similar problem. Capturing camcorder tapes with
an ATI 9000 Wonder card, it appears to capture fine, WMP
plays it back fine, but MM2 cannot import - giving the
same message as Tom Goodwin recites below. ATI saves the
video files as .mpg, which looks like it should import
fine. Ahhh...but I see the ATI software is in fact
apparently saving in MPEG-2 format. Should I force it to
switch to AVI, or...the other options are MPEG-1 and
something called "Windows Media." Would that work?

Thanks in advance,

David
