View Full Version : Movie Maker keeps crashing!

I try to put a clip into the storyboard in Movie Maker,
and it gives me another annoying error. And it's the same
one. I have 512 MB RAM, and I increased the page file
size to its maximum, but it still crashes while I'm doing
my project. I can't transition, either, because when I
do, it closes unexpectedly. WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME
WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS!? >_<"

That's a common issue with easy work-arounds. See the Problem Solving...

Hey, Papa John, I lowered the acceleration, installed
DirectX 9.0, even tried the walk-around mentioned with
the snapshots...and still got the same error message. Now
what do I do?

Oh, this is far from common. I lowered the acceleration
notch to none, and it STILL gave me that error message. I
don't know about you, but this is pretty serious.

Papa John, do you recommend reinstalling MM2, or some
other alternative? I personally think it won't matter
which options I have left (if I have any)...

Even tried renaming the codecs on the list...and still
got that stupid error again. I think I may have to
reinstall it...

You don't mention the codecs. Do you have any of the problem ones.

Zero on acceleration is too low. If you get past the codecs and still have
the problems, then you'll have to go down the whole checklist on the
website.
