I tried connecting my Canon Elura 50 miniDV camcorder to
my computer to transfer a video file. Windows movie
maker doesn't find my camera. I connected the camera via
the IEEE (at least I think that is what it is. It
connects to the USB port on the front of the computer).
Movie maker is recognizing my logitech eyeball camera,
but not the Canon miniDV camcorder. Am I doing something
wrong?

USB ports and Ieee are different animals. If you are connecting to a USB
port, you do not have a firewire connection.
