PLEASE HELP IM GONNA CRY!!

Whenever I try to add a subtitle or an effect to a clip
with windows movie maker 2 it just quits and peels away!
My friend and I are both having this problem we both use
windows XP Pro and we both love making vidoes! Please is
there a patch or a fix for this PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!
