is thumbs.db a windows system file? properties say
application unknown. "pest patrol" says it is written in
an unknown language.it is supposed to be hidden but shows
up quite often. thanks, jack

Just a database for the thumbnail images in the folder that it resides in...
You'll find others just like it all over, no worries.

That where thumbnails (as in View as Thumbnails in Explorer) are stored

Jack you'll find that Pest Patrol is not always very accurate. There is a
lot of better software around. A combination of Spyware Blaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html and Spyware Guard
http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html are excellent freeware
choices in keeping your system free of unwanted spyware.
