Establishing preferred "search engine"

Can anyone help me figure out why I'm unable to customize
which "search engine" is being used for my searches from
the "address bar"?

When I click on the "Search" icon in OE6.x, and then click
on the "Customize" button, nothing happens! It used to be
that upon clicking "customize" I would be given some
options, but for some reason I seem to be locked in to
using "ShopNav", and can't get rid of it...

Download and run an anti-spyware program such as ad-aware.
You may want to do a web search for proper removal instructions.
