For about a month now, whenever I try to watch a video
online, the program will crash: " (Internet Explorer [ if
that is the program that I am using ] has encountered a
problem and needs to close. "
Every time- that is -whenever I try to view a video in
the Media Player format ( I have Media Player 9 Series ).
Whichever program I am trying to view it through (media
player or internet explorer ) will crash as above.
Often Windows error reporting will present a link after
the error to "Microsoft's Online Crash Analysis". This
attributes the error to "MPEG Encoding" manufactures by
MainConcept AG and suggests that I can possibly fix the
error by updating this program. The problem is I have
never had this program on my computer.
I dont have this problem viewing streaming videos in
other formats, for example, RealPlayer or Quicktime
I have all the latest updates, including the latest
version of Windows Media Encoder and wide variety of
codecs. So what's the problem? Any ideas on what's going
on?
