Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service Not Starting

Hi !

I'm running WinXP Pro with SP1a installed.
There's a problem with my Distributed Transaction Co-ordinator Service and
it doens't start.
When I start it the following msg pops on the screen -

" Windows could not start Distributed Transaction Coordinator on Local
Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a
non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to
service-specific error code - 1073737406 "

An attempt to start the Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service adds the
following entries to the event log -
