Whats the best DVD authoring software out there? Here is
my situation, I have made my movie, it's about 17GB in
AVI format. I made the video with WMM, so basically it's
just one big movie file now.

I want to put it on DVD, but I want to have cool menus
and submenus with chapter selections and whatnot. My
puter came with My Sonic DVD Authoring software, but
unless I assemle the movie with it, there doesn't seem to
be any Chapter Points, and no way to add them back later.
(This seems dumb, why can't I just manually tell it where
a chapter starts? but it seems I cannot). So any advice
would be appreciated.

TIA

Hi,

I use Ulead DVD Moviefactory. It lets you import multiple AVI files and
batch convert them to MPEG. You then go through and add you menus, sub
menus and chapter points. Finally, you burn your VCD, SVCD etc.

Like others in this newsgroup, ideally I'd like MM2 to output straight to
MPEG or Moviefactory to import MWV. Unlikely MM2 will change but when I
contacted Ulead, they told me that compatibility with WMV will be in the
next release.
