My P3 500MHz machine is locking up frequently. I am
running XP Pro and I have patched up with all the fixes
available. I usually use Word, Outlook Express, Outlook,
and IE. It doesn't matter what I am in, but everything
freezes. I am not able to use CTRL+ALT+DEL, I have to
turn off the power to the machine.

Any clues on what I should check to help resolve this
issue?

Thanks,
Keith

Over 9 times out of 10, this has to do with drivers. The other possibility
is hardware - you could be overheating, but I would start out by going to
the manufacturer of each of your devices (I would start with the video
card - this is the most problematic component) and get the latest version
and install it.

Chris,

Thanks, I will give this a try. The most recent thing I
did was install a different video card.
