View Full Version : Running program as common user

I have installed Nero burning rom software.

I have windows XP SP1a

I have configured 2 accounts 1 as admin and 1 as common user

I don't log in as admin to prevent system damage... I always use the common
user [ non-system admin ] account

When I start Nero, it says that only admin can burn cds.... and it works
through admin account

How do I set rights to common user for specific programs from admin account
?

I want to give full access rights to some other programs to common user
account that I use frequently.

I know about the security issues that it is not good to give admin access to
common users where it is disabled by default, but since I am the only person
using this computer, and more than that I want to know this because I could
not find it anywhere in help, please give detailed instructions.

thanks in advance

Thanks

It is per program, and you can't always do it. (There are plenty of careless
developers who run as admins on their local machine, with the result being
software that only runs when the user is also an admin.) There is a
discussion specific to Nero here:
