Switch to Timeline view, click on the title you no longer
want (in the "title" bar of the timeline) and hit
delete. In the same view you can also extend or shrink
the length of video / audio by selecting the relevant
clip and using the drag handles on each end to shorten or
crop. If you click and drag on the centre of the clip
you can move it from side to side and reposition the
ausio to start and finish exactly where you want. Hope
