ok i just reformatted my comp, i deleted everything and
started fresh. everything was fine, I started installing
my programs again, etc. everything was good until one day
i notice that when the new program installation window
came up, the default drive or location, was D:/...so
on.... I changed it to C:/ and it installed. but now
everytime i try to intall something the default drive is
D:/ Several stuff is installed on the D drive because i
got a low memory popup, I dont care about the files on
there because I can easily install them again....My
question or request is...how can I set the C:/ drive as
the default for all installations and delete whatever
files I have on D:/

Hector, You're going to have to reinstall WinXP, and this time choose to
delete any drive it detects, and then choose to format drive in Fat 32 or
NTFS. When you installed this current operating system you probably left
Drive C: intact, and that's why it is using D: as default.

AHHH yess fun isnt it, OK when you mess about its goes
wornfg on the re install because of the load up of the
set up files, being jumped up, c: goes to d:, d: goes to
e:, and so on

check your disc to make sure your not got two copies, if
you havent that good, you will need to change the dir
path, download MRtech systray form webattack.com you
will see there is a option for the dir path so you can
change it to what ever and it will work fine... its just
a letter

There is a script on Kelly Theriot's website that helps you to verify
and/or change your Program Files directory. It's on line 82, right hand
side of this page:

do this at your own risk because i am not there so i dont no what really
happen ok note you will have two take the disk out are it will reboot two
disk ok then if it says it need the disk shutdown and restart anyway you
can ok then you will no if there is two partitions if the computer strat the
other partition is still in there then you will no for sure note that if
there is only one partition you will have two rewrite your whole system if
